Towards the end of 2018, I was feeling dissatisfied and indifferent towards pretty much all the music around me. Everything seemed stale, passionless and boring. I went to Aarburg, Switzerland to work at an English language camp for a while to take a break and clear my head.

At this camp I met Florence Marriott, a singer from Brighton, England or Essex, depending on how she feels like answering. Quickly, I realized she was a true talent. As true as they come. She sings with the excitement of somebody who has just discovered music for the first time, but has the technical proficiency of a master. Pure joy exudes from her. I can't stress enough how fortunate I feel to have been able to make music with her. I hold her in the highest regard, on par with some of the best musicians I've ever played with. If I had a dream team band she would be the lead singer in it.

Anyway, Florence and I started playing music on the weekends and in our free time. At first without my knowledge, she began recording us on her phone and before long, we had a nice little collection of tunes. These songs were recorded in whatever room was available at the time, so each one sounds pretty different. Several here were the first take. Some were recorded unbeknownst to me. These songs are not polished. I wish we had more time to do that, but sometimes the most beautiful things are fleeting.

Singing with Florence was a real pleasure. I'm sure you'll see what a great talent she is by listening to these songs. I had so much fun with her in Aarburg, Switzerland for a few weeks and I think the feeling comes through in these recordings. - Andrew
